Is it appropriate to wear diamond jewelry to a job interview?

I wouldn’t wear it. You want the interview to concentrate on you, your abilities, education and experience. You want to be neatly dressed, but don’t wear anything that takes the focus from you.

Hi I think that it is okay to wear jewelry to an interview ,but you don’t want the person doing the interview to be focused on the jewelry . you want them to be interested in you, if it were me i would tone it down a bit but it also depends on what you are interviewing for. Hope this helps and good luck with your interview.

I would wear it. Diamonds are every day jewels in my opinion. It’s not like we’re talking about a huge rock here… that would be different. What you describe sounds very appropriate for an interview. 1k ring is fine, studs in the ears certainly conservative and from that description I will assume the necklace is also on the conservative side. The only way I would feel you shouldn’t wear them is if you FEEL uncomfortable, which may cause you to bring attention to your jewelry, rather than keeping it on the interview. Personally, I think when a person is well put together it suggests confidence. Most interviewers are not going to hire you based on your “need” for the job but rather for your job skills and the “fit”. Good luck…

I would wear it if the job is some thing that you should represent the company (if you will have that job). The boss should see that an astatic worker stand in front of him.
