Is it bad to scare a puppy/person with a light heart murmur?

It’s normal for dogs with short snouts to have heart problems and also breathing problems. I have a pekignese with a heart murmur, and also has asthma attacks….they told me that most dogs with short nasal ways usually live 5-7 years. My dog is 12, and still acts like a puppy. And he has been scared out of his wits 100s of times, especially around the 4th of July and thunderstorms. I would not worry about it. Just comfort your dog when he does get scared, the sense of security calms them down.
