Is it either CBS Survivor of office politics?”

The one reality show on TV I watch is CBS’s Survivor. It is great training in the people skills it takes to be a successful manager. Some of the competitors play the equivalent of office politics. Others rise above it. Some get run over by circumstances. You can learn a lot from this show. The latest edition of Survivor started with “leaders” being elected for each of the two tribes. Neither leader volunteered or campaigned for the job, but they got it anyway. In one tribe in particular, the Foa Foa tribe the “leader”, Mick, is not very assertive. However, he has two people on his team who think they can do the job better than he can and that they should be doing it. One even thinks he has taken over already. I would say they were undercutting Mick, backstabbing him, except that he doesn’t seem to be doing anything. As a result, there is already strong disunity in the tribe and that does not bode well for their future success. If you were Mick, the appointed leader, and this were a bus
