Illegal. A lot of drugs you need a prescription for are scheduled under the same laws as drugs such as weed, meth, and coke. Weed is schedule 1, meaning it’s illegal to possess without a special DEA license, no medical use (state laws are different than federal scheduling sometimes). Meth and Coke are Schedule 2, meaning there is medical uses for them, and can be obtained with a prescription, they’re just more careful with them because they’re also illegally produced and widely available illegitimately. Prescription drugs such as opiates(oxycontin/vicodin kinda stuff), barbituates, ketamine, marinol(synthetic THC), and steroids are schedule 3, meaning it has potential for abuse, but isn’t made illegally. Less potential for abuse drugs are schedule 4, like Valium, Xanax, longer acting barbituates, and nonamphetamine stimulants.
