An emancipation is when you go to court of law, or straight to a judge and convince him/her that you are physically capable, emotionally capabel, and that you have a plan for your own support. So, in a more clear sense, you need to be able to carry yourself, without a guardian/parent, because when you leave and become emancipated, you’re emancipated until you commit a crime or become charged with an offense.
