Is it mainly “resentment” and anger that children from abused families feel the most?
No. Those that suffer with resentment and anger issues are merely the ones we hear about most often. The majority of such abused children struggle with issues of low self-esteem, insecurity and feelings of inadequacy. Unfortunately, due the “passive and quiet” nature of their sufferings they go unheard of in society. ” The squeaky wheel gets the oil”. These children don’t squeak and are therefore in the majority.
IF they do feel anything, no doubt is is all the BAD feelings one can have, and none of the GOOD feelings one can learn. Sometimes they believe the bad is how they are supposed to feel and carry it on well in to adulthood IF they choose not to deal with it. EVERYTHING a child LEARNS as a child affects them later on. OBVIOUSLY abuse causes: no or low self esteem, lack of respect for themselves and other humans especially adults, lack of respect for society or societies rules, lack of motivation, lack of feeling anything good or positive, lack of knowing proper communication skills, lack of social skills, and an incredible amount of GUILT and anger. The GOOD news is, anyone growing up in to adulthood DOES NOT need to be that way forever. With proper therapy and a lot of hard work, they too can be emotionally strong and healthy.
Yes I think it is because these kids were betrayed by the very ones who R supposed to protect & love them the resentment & anger will be with them & cause great difficlties in future relationships trust issues could make them feel worthless as a person not deserving of love & respect it can make a emotional cripple of U or a violent psychotic who wants to strike
