Is it morally right to spend a lot of money on pets, rather than helping people in need?

Yes I think it is for me. I don’t know about you and I don’t know how you view your pets or even if you have any. My dogs and horses provide me with companionship, fun, respect, exercice and sometimes just a place to go and a cuddle without expectations. I have spent a lot of money on them and I will continue to do so. They depend on me for everything, their food, shelter, health, physical and emotional protection and support. Why wouldn’t I spend what I have to achieve their comfort – it is important to me. I also contribute to charities that rescue, protect, support, feed and re-house animals. In most of today’s environment animals our at our mercy and it is up to us to do what we can for them. There are many charities and organisations that already rescue, protect, support, feed and re-house unwanted humans. I sometimes donate money to them too. I think it is morally right that I do as I see fit with what I have.
