Is it OK to mix cedar and pine rustic log furniture, and what is the difference between them?

We mix rustic cedar and pine rustic log furniture all the time, and it looks great in the pine/cedar rustic log furniture we carry. The cedar and pine we use is nearly identical in color. The main difference is that the cedar tends to have more knots and more streaks of color to the wood. Many of our pine log dressers, pine log chests and and pine log nightstands have cedar handles and/or trim. We have customers who purchase pine log beds and cedar log dressers, and vice versa, and it all looks very nice together.
