Is it permissible to use CSST in high-pressure applications?
CSST has been approved, in accordance with ANSI/IAS LC-1, for installation in both medium and high-pressure applications up to five pounds per square inch (psi). This approval covers both residential and commercial applications. Some manufacturers, like Gastite, have successfully tested their products to pressures in excess of 5 psi. Operating pressures above 5 psi, however, are at the discretion of the local building official or gas utility.
