Is it possible that a 10-solar-mass main-sequence star could harbor an advanced civilization?

Yeah, a 10 M star would have a life of about 30 million years, so not likely to have intelligent life. Supernovas are expected for stars over 5-8 M. A 1.5 M star would last more like 3.6 billion years, so certainly had plenty of time for multi-cellular life to advance to the point of an advanced civilization. The question is how long it takes multi-cell life to form from the single-cell variety. Appeared to take a long time on our planet, so if our required time was typical it might not happen at all. If it does, might be advanced enough to move outwards during the red giant end-phase of the star. (no supernova Brant.. don’t confuse the Chandrasekhar limit for the cut-off mass for stars to go SN) Don’t like the prospects for a horizontal branch star, since these are typically found in globulars which are metals-poor and therefore rocky planet nurseries like ours might not be expected.
