Yes. The Assistant Dean has the authority to defer the admission of a limited number of candidates for one year. Requests must be made in writing to the Assistant Dean for Admission and must articulate a good reason for the deferral. If granted, a $65 deferral fee is required. In rare instances (e.g. Teach for America, Peace Corps, Military service), the Assistant Dean may grant a two-year deferral, however, it will be done one year at a time.
