You can run them in parallel, but you need to make sure that when you install you don’t choose the ‘upgrade’ option and don’t select ‘remove previous versions’ option. I assume you have a normal system, install Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and choose the custom installation and only install Outlook. Do not install any of the other Office packages. When you install Office 2007, it will probably ask you if you want to upgrade. Don’t go down this route, just choose the custom installation again, then only install Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Don’t select Outlook. This will work because both versions of Office are installed in seperate folders but it won’t work if you try to install Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 on the same system. You can only install one or the other because there are some shared system components that exist in the system folder.
