Is it possible to make home-made lube?
Recipe for “Gumbo Lube” Natural Okra Personal Lubricant This lube contains all natural ingredients and has a really smooth and slippery feel, without the unpleasant stickiness or sweetness of glycerin-based lubes. A little goes a long way! Ingredients: 6 fresh okra pods 250ml (1 cup) of water 2 drops pure lavender oil (or rosemary oil) 2 teaspoons natural orange essence Method: Put the water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Slice the okra thinly into rounds about 3mm (1/8 inch) thick and add to the pan of water. If you wish, before this you may slice the okra lengthwise and remove the seeds (which contain no mucilage). Simmer slowly for fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally to break up the okra pieces a little. The liquid becomes quite viscous. Put through a fine strainer while still hot, using up to a tablespoon of boiling water from your kettle to wash through. Try to avoid too much vegetable matter going into the lube. (Straining through cloth is ideal but not necessary). After
