It is possible to ovulate that early. Here is another possibility: sometimes women have a “period” without ovulating first. This is called an anovulatory cycle. With those kind of cycles, the bleeding occurs simply because of hormones or if the uterine lining gets too thick. With a cycle like that, your true ovulation can come at any time, even soon after the “period.” I would never ever trust an ovulation calculator. I trust only my own body and my proven observations. Most calculators assume that every woman has a 28 day cycle and that we all ovulate on day 14th which is really a myth. Most women aren’t textbook examples. OPKs are also not really worth it. They can tell you if your body may be about to try ovulate, but they can’t confirm if you actually did. Some women, especially those of us with PCOS might get positive OPKs for over a week at a time then not actually ovulate.
