Is it possible to stay in catered Halls of Residence over the vacation periods?
Students in catered halls are required to move out over the Christmas and Easter breaks. The University uses these vacation times to hold residential conferences to generate revenue to keep accommodation fees as low as possible for students and to refurbish the halls. If you can’t move back home, eg you’re an international student, let your Hall Secretary know as soon as possible, as there are a few rooms available in each hall for you to move into. If you do stay in halls over the vacation periods, you’ll need to make your own food arrangements, such as using the University’s excellent catering service on campus.
