A. Yes, if the unit has a built-in hard drive. If not, it still might have a USB or other port to which you can attach an external hard drive. Q. What connection speeds do I need for reliable video service? A. You’ll need a broadband connection. For standard-definition content, you should be able to get by with 1 to 2Mbps speeds. For HD content, you’ll probably need 6 to 8Mbps or faster. Q. Can an Internet set-top box replace my cable or satellite TV box? A. Only if Internet-based video is all you plan to watch from now on.
