The short form is that it will depend on several things. One of these is that there are relatively few qualified practitioners to do the exams in any foreign country … you can’t simply go down to the local clinic and have it completed. A second is that the exam results have a limited validity (normally twelve months) … if it’s going to take longer than that between the exam and your actual arrival in Canada for immigration purposes, you’d need to repeat the exam closer to your arrival date. If you visit certain other countries between your “home nation” where the exam was completed and Canada, you MAY be required to take additional testing due to the possibility of health changes related to conditions in those countries.
