Is it possible to undertake a pure PhD programme in the Institute rather than MPhil/PhD?

We only have one research degree programme which is MPhil/PhD. All students commence MPhil studies and after 18 months, for full-time students, they upgrade to PhD student status. The MPhil is a qualification in its own right and is for students who for any reason fail to upgrade to the PhD programme.
