Is it safe to masterbate while pregnant with placenta previa?
I am 39 weeks pregnant. I had placenta previa this time around. I was told not to have any sex at all. Orgasm contractions can pull on the placenta increasing your risk for abruption. Ask your doctor what no sex means specifically. No arousal, orgasm, or penentration? The good news is that as your baby grows the placenta often moves. They did a follow up ultrasound on me at 28 weeks and saw that it was no longer a problem. A month sounds like a long time to go with out sex but it is worth it for a healthy baby. I was not allowed to have sex from 10 weeks to 28 weeks. I thought that I was gonna go crazy. I survived. I am glad that I held out.
