Is it spotting/breakthrough bleeding on the pill, or should I be concerned?

This spotting/breakthrough bleeding is a result of being on the pill and is a common side effect with the medication. This occurs because the body is trying to adjust to the medication. As long as it stays on the light side your iron levels should be ok. (I’ve had issues with breakthrough bleeding when trying to adjust to being on the pill before. When I start to get heavy bleeding I eat foods rich in iron to help me from having further problems while I try to adjust but if the bleeding continues my doctor changes my pill brand to another one with higher amounts of estrogen.) I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
