Spanish Prime Minster Jose Luis Rodríguez Zapatero made a visit to the US with Spain’s first family, wife Sonsoles Espinosa as well as daughters Laura, 16, and Alba, 13. The visit has stirred up a remarkable amount of controversy in both Spain and the US. The controversy does not concern the Spanish Prime Minister, but a photo taken of Spain’s first family. The Zapateros had their photos taken with Michelle and Barack Obama at the UN. The photo was posted on the US State Department’s website and its Flickr page. The photo featured the Spanish prime minister’s daughters, who were dressed in Goth black dresses and boots. Some bloggers and media joked about the Zapatero daughters’ wardrobe.
