Is it true that Bill Gates stole the idea from Apple?
Yes, the operating system that we know today as Windows, was originally under development by Steve Jobs and Apple. Bill Gates took the idea and ran with it calling it Windows, and therefore effectively sucking the life out of Apple computers for those early years. Apple has since rebounded though they are still largely in the minority compared to Microsoft, yet, even though Bill Gates stole the windows OS from Apple, Apple’s operating systems are consistenly more stable than windows, and are less susceptible to viruses and hacking. Really if you would like to see the story of this in an interesting way there is a movie called “Pirates of Silicon Valley” that is all about this.
