Is it true that bootnecks have a mutual respect for Royal Navy Clearance Divers?

There is a rivalry between RM and RN but not as great as that as the Army because remember the RM is part of the Navy. However there is a healthy rivalry. Especially will Royal Navy branches such as submarines and Clearance divers there is a great amount of respect. This is usually because many Marines recognise that is takes balls to do either of these professions and many could not see themselves serving as a submariner or a clearance diver. Most Marines I know hate being underwater – they want fresh air and to be very active. Being a diver or submariner is anything but! Also as a clearance diver at some point you will know someone that has been seriously injured and at some point there is a high chance that you will be. Also its hard to defuse a bomb on land what about doing it underwater where expolsive is 10 X the force! It takes serious balls and the RMs respect someone has courage.
