Is it true that they gave women the right to vote?

White women in America were treated just as bad as blacks in America. They literally had no rights as everything was geared towards white men. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 actually helped white women more so than it did blacks. Up until that, blacks could not vote in any election which helped keep the “good ol’ boy” system in place since white men were the only ones allowed to vote they often kept the same people in office or elected people who held the same racist views. Even after the act was passed, blacks and white women were still not being allowed to exercise their right to vote. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that white women were truly allowed to enter the white male dominated workforce. Before that time, most white women were homemakers and in most cases they weren’t even allowed to entertain the thought of getting a job, voting, etc etc etc !
