Is it unfortunate that there were victims of home invaders in Palm Bay, Florida?”
Three to six armed men barged into a Palm Bay home Saturday night, demanded money, threw hot oil on two people, stole a car and fled, according to police reports. The home invasion was reported just before 11 p.m. at 2131 San Filippo Drive S.E. The suspects kicked in a door, entered and threatened six children who were left alone while their mother was taking another child to the hospital for stitches, according to police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez. The robbers wore dark hooded sweatshirts and their faces were covered with dark turtlenecks — and all were armed with handguns, reports show. The children ranged in age from 15 to a 10-month-old infant, Martinez said. The suspects demanded money they claim an “uncle” owed them, choked the children, held them at gunpoint and threatened them with a pot of hot oil on the stove, reports show. During the incident, the mother returned home, and the suspects grabbed the pot of hot oil from the stove and splashed it on her and the 15-year-old girl
