Is labor and delivery really easier/quicker for younger pregnant women?
Sadly I don’ think that is true. Everyone and each labor is different no matter the age. I think being younger helps you heal faster afterwards though. I know a girl that gave birth last week at 16 and she had an 8hr labor with no drugs! I had my first at 19, my labor was 9hrs and I had the gas it really wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be, it was also back labor which is really really no fun, lol I had my second at 21, labor was only an hour and a half again I had gas I had my third at 26 and labor was only an hour and a half again I had gas I never had any major tears with any of them, I had grazes with my first and a very slight tear with my third (I kept pushing when they said stop!) but that healed within 24hrs As to your labor and pain relief just make sure you know what is available and the pro’s and con’s for them all.
