Is Lacrosse a hard sport to get into?

Its an expensive sport because of all the pads and stick…and it is sort of difficult to get a hang of. You need gloves, elbow pads, a helmet, and chest pads. Plus a stick.

Hi. I play lacrosse too. I been playing since 4th grade and im now in 11th grade and still play. i love the sport and if you love the sport too, i think it wont be that hard to get into it. You need to know how to cradle, throw, catch, shoot, and how to protect the ball. i will include videos on that. Do you have a friend who plays? If you do, i would borrow their things until you know if you really wanna play. Here are some websits you can go to. http://www.monkeysee.com/play/2311-lacro…

Lacrosse is a great sport, but expensive. You will need to buy pads, a helmet, and a stick. Most things you can get used, and its a lot cheaper. If you have never played before, it can be challenging.

I just started to play lacrosse this year too. I enjoy it a lot and the basic skills were fairly easy to pick up. I would suggest going for the freshman team, though, if your school has one. Jv/varsity level is much much more demanding than frosh. Unless of course you are not a freshman, then by all means go for JV. I would suggest talking to the coach before going out to play though, lacrosse is an extremely demanding sport, and you should probably learn what exercises would help you get in your best shape before trying out. Also, if you are a guy, be prepared to spend a good amount of money on equipment. Girls too, really…. Hope this helps!
