Is LaDainian Tomlinson finished?
Not quite. While Tomlinson has likely played his last down for San Diego, he should receive interest from a few teams looking to put a Band-Aid on their respective running games. Teams like the Browns, Eagles and Seahawks could work Tomlinson into a time-share situation, but the team that intrigues me the most is Houston. Steve Slaton’s status for the 2010 season is uncertain, and Arian Foster has proven little. If the Texans decide to continue to upgrade the defense in the draft, Tomlinson, who attended high school in Waco and college at TCU, could come back to the Lone Star State to finish his career. Don’t give up on him yet. How long will the Patriots be without Wes Welker? It depends. That sounds like a cop out, but I would expect Welker to start the season on the PUP list and miss the first six weeks. From there, coach Bill Belichick will likely evaluate the competitiveness of the AFC East and determine the longest possible amount of time the Patriots can survive without Welker.
