Laser declawing is used simply for the cat’s bleeding. The pain is obviously still there (the bone is still removed) however the bleeding is reduced. Tenectomy is a medical procedure where the tendons (in toes) are damaged. The basic point of it is for the cat to still have it’s claws, however unable to move or use them. Most people do not know in rare cases of tenectomy some cats undergo irregular claw growth.
