Is letters from Iwo Jima a good movie?
I haven’t seen it yet (it’s in my Netflix queue) but judging from Flags of our fathers (which I watched 2 weeks ago) I rate it at a 9 b/c that movie was excellent! Letters from Iwo Jima is a brave movie b/c alot of americans aren’t willing to look at things from others’ perspective and that’s what I think this movie is about. I’ve heard people call Eastwood a ‘traitor’ b/c he chose to make this movie, but I think he’s a partriot – that is what the American spirit is about welcoming and openly expressing new ideals not shutting them down when you don’t agree with them.
