Is Limewire Pro legal, and will I be able to download music onto my iPod from it safely?
The software itself is legal, but if you download any copywrited material without permission from the owner, that is not legal. Basically what this boils down to is: if you don’t pay for it, it’s not yours and therefore stealing. As to weather it is safe: very few people who use limewire to download songs are actually ever caught. Even fewer are ever procecuted. Movies are more watched and therefore more dangerous. As for my experience, I have downloaded thousands of songs on limewire and never had any problem. If you do do this though, make sure the file you are downloading is an MP3 and that there’s nothing fishy about the file info (e.g. File size, length, etc.) There are a lot of viruses floating around that network.
