Is liposuction alone suitable for the upper arms?
Liposuction alone may be suitable for young patients with elastic skin. Mr Kenton-Smith will be able to advise you if this is appropriate during a consultation. Patients who have undergone significant weight loss or who have stretch marks on their upper arms are unlikely to benefit from liposuction alone. These patients require liposuction in combination with skin removal from the inner arm. The scar usually starts in the armpit and extends down towards the elbow. This technique is called a brachioplasty. Mr Kenton-Smith will be able to advise you of the length of the scar required in your case.
