It’s a myth. low fat isn’t any better then low carbs or low meat or low any other essential food group. But keep in mind there are 2 types of fat, not just one. Fat that comes from good things like olive oil, nuts, avocados; coconuts and so on are very good for you. Eat those. The bad kind of fat is largely trans-fat. Partially hydrogenated oil of any kind of oil is VERY bad for you and should be avoided at all cost. (Now, there is a small amount of fat from natural foods, like red meat. You don’t really need to worry about the miniscule amounts in these foods, but don’t eat the fat around the meat.) This kind of bad fat is found mostly in commercially baked pastries and chips. (Its cheep, that’s why.) Of course, you don’t have to give up all deserts; the ones you make from scratch (not from a mix) are still fine in moderation.
