Maxell Data Compression Software should find any drive that appears in the “My Computer” list (Win 95) or in File Manager (Win 3.1). Maxell Data Compression Software does no specific drive recognition (exception noted below) and relies to Windows to identify available drives. Maxell Data Compression Software does use one Iomega-provided .DLL that recognizes when a zip drive is installed. Thus, when an Iomega Zip drive is selected, the text on the screen changes slightly to congratulate the user on having a zip drive (required to get the Iomega Readyware logo).
