Is Mesothelioma a Common Illness?
Mesothelioma affects approximately 3,000 people in the United States every year. Because the use of asbestos has been greatly reduced due to its carcinogenic properties, those afflicted are usually between the ages of 50 and 70. A new study suggests that the number of mesothelioma diagnoses is declining and should stabilize within the next 15 years.
