Is middle ear infection causes by oral sex?
The middle ear chamber lies between the external and inner ear. This chamber is connected to the back of the throat (pharynx) by the eustachian tube which serves as a pressure equalizing valve. The majority of middle ear infections are caused by dysfunction of the eustachian tube. It can get “kinked” so to speak and it places undue pressure and or fluid into the mid ear which results in the condition that you have. I kind of question why you “gadget” your mouth with water during oral sex. Regardless, I have never heard of oral sex being related to middle ear infections, but with that said IF somehow water is able to back up in the mid ear and not able to drain through the eustatian tube then yes it could cause this type of infection. That happens alot when people swim, but of course the water is entering the outer ear canal and not somehow through the mouth. If I were you I would monitor for your own future reference to see if it reoccurs. Good luck!
