Is Milk and Ovaltine Fattening?

0

As someone who suffers from an extreme sleep disorder – everything I have tried has been no help, and yes, I too, have heard of drinkig warm milk. However, as far as fattening goes – milk is not fattening in proper amounts, which would be 2-3 gls/day, although it is good to keep in mind that dairy products in general are known for slowing down metabolism. Basically meaning that although milk is not going to fatten you up (adding ovaltine is actually an excellent way to get all of your vitamins and nutrients in), excessive amounts of milk may slow your bodies ability to quickly burn calories. My suggestion is if you are having sleeping issues – having a glass of warm milk may help you (everyone’s different, it just didnt work for me) I would apt to skip the ovaltine before bed because it does have sugar in it and that would contradict helping your body relax before bedtime. Hope that helps!
