Is “Mixed Martial Arts” the same as “Self-Defense”?

0

“Mixed Martial Arts”, “Traditional Martial Arts”, and “Self-Defense” together have many similarities and also many differences. While many of the same physical techniques exist in each type of training, the goals of martial arts and self-defense training are very different. Applied self-defense is a discipline unto itself that addresses the psychological, physiological, and legal aspects of real-world attacks, subjects largely neglected in typical martial arts and combat sports classes. While we do practice martial arts, we teach self-defense.
