Is Murieta Holdings paying for a new North Gate?

As part of its plan to “rebrand” Rancho Murieta, the developers will work with CSD and RMA to redesign the entrance to Murieta North and build a new guard station. Because the CSD views the present gate traffic situation on the North as a safety issue, it will advance funds so the project can proceed now. Murieta Holdings will repay the district through development fees that will be generated by the development as it’s built. “It won’t cost current residents a cent,” according to Jim Lensch, president of the CSD board of directors. The RMA will retain ownership of the gate structure and pay for a new passive entry system for residents.
