Is my cat going into labour?

0

This could be a sign that labor is about to start–Just keep an eye on her and if you watch her abdomen you will be able to see it contract as she gets closer to giving birth–the time frame of labor varies as it does in humans it can take anywhere from 2-3 hours for her to produce the whole litter or it could take her all day it depends on the age of the cat and size of the kittens–you don’t need to worry unless she is actively pushing for more than 15 minutes and not producing anything if she is pushing you should be able to see a kitten emerging within 2-3 pushes if not sooner. Now if she has produced a kitten or 2 and you feel there are more and she does not produce another for 4 or more hours contact your vet immediately other than those things if you just let her do her thing she should be fine.
