Is my washing machine broken or is this sloshing water sound normal?

We got a new washer in September. I just went in & moved the tub around. There’s no sound of water being in there. I’d say it’s not draining/spinning the water clear out. Does it smell? After time, I’d think water sitting in there would start to turn sour, even if it’s recycling the water. The washer itself may start to smell. The sanitary issue would definately be a factor, too. You’re probably washing each new load in water that’s been sitting there. I’d get your owner’s manual out & call or email the manufacturer to see what they have to say. Or even go back to the store & talk to someone in appliances, preferably the salesperson who sold it to you.
