Is Mythical Man Month book still relevant?
This was selected as Best Answer I think the ‘Mythical Man Month’ is and going to be relevant for a few more generations of software professionals to come. There is still no easy answer on how to scale up software projects – both in size and complexity, and the ‘Mythical Man Month’ identifies many major pitfalls. It also suggests an approach, although not a prescription, on how to get around those pitfalls. I believe a lot more projects today would be a lot more successful if the people involved had only made it a priority to read (and understand) what Fred Brooks was trying to share back in 1975.
