Is obsidian a precious or semi precious stone found in large quantities?
Obsidian isn’t precious but can be cut and polished into decorative stones for jewellery. It’s much more common than jet and you’ll find quite a lot in Bonny Scotland. It’s quite easy to work after some experience. One of my friends made an obsidian reflecting telescope mirror instead of using glass..
