The cost of oil has jumped another 3$ or 4$ dollars for no apparent reason other than pure speculation. The problem with speculation is that we pay regardless of the outcome and the only difference is that if nothing bad occurs the oil companies get to keep our money and make bigger profits, another case of the rich get richer and the poor get screwed. Many say that the price of oil is jacked up for America based on Iran but we do not get any oil from Iran so what’s the problem? Go ahead and tell me, well it affects the overall world amount, but that is just a rich person talking who has made a buck off of the rising price of oil and the cost of conflict with Iran is what jacked up oil from 60$ to 70$ so isn’t this double jeopardy and isn’t double jeopardy illegal? OPEC last month pledged to boost output so why didn’t prices drop in response?
