Is our nation prepared to handle national disasters?
Since you asked this question on Yahoo Answers India I assume you mean India, in which case I am afraid I don’t think your nation is ready, you have a lot of people who live in poor quality accommodation and int he extremes the slums, if there was an earthquake God(s) forbid I think many people would be goners. The only consolation is that you have an economy that could deal with the aftermath and you are accessible in terms of aid getting to you. PS To anyone who was wondering if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, under the open questions and resolved questions bit there is a line that says where the question was posted from, in this case India, if there is no line it was posted from the site you are using, ie if you are using Answers UK then it came from the UK and so on.
