Is packaging Trinity NMS in PET plastic containers safe?
Trinity is packaged in PET plastic containers. “PET” stands for polyethylene terephthalate and is the most common container used for liquids in the United States. PET is a superior vapor barrier, has high resistance to oxygen transmission, high chemical resistance, and has excellent thermal properties. It is the safest of all plastic container products and has no known link to any endocrine disrupter functions. However, we continue to monitor plastic research. Though we have seen no effect on Trinity’s water, we do recommend that any product packaged in PET plastic be stored away from heat and excessive sunlight. Our Quality Assurance practices with regard to plastic are the highest in the industry. Our bottom line recommendation is: Don’t leave Trinity in your hot car.
