Is participation in all LGO plant treks required? Are there additional costs for trips outside the Boston Area?

Local plant treks in the first summer and the two-week January plant trek are required. The January plant trek will cost a maximum of $500 but has always been significantly less than that. The international plant trek (Spring) is optional. The cost of this trip is approximately $1,500.
