IS PDR BETTER THAN USING A BODY SHOP?
PDR is not the answer to all vehicle damage. Many vehicle collisions cause “major” damage and will require a body shop to repair the damage. South Bay Collision can repair minor dents and dings. These are dents received from shopping carts, careless people who open their doors in parking lots and hit your car, hail stone damage, falling tree branches, acorns, etc. Minor dents can be repaired in a body shop but it will cost at least twice as much and will take two or three days to complete. PDR can be accomplished in far less time and at substantially less cost. HOW IS PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL DONE? Specially designed tools are used to apply pressure behind the dent. Pressure is applied at multiple points behind the dent to slowly bring the metal back to its original shape. A dent about the size of a quarter may require one hundred applications of pressure to remove it. WHAT TOOLS ARE USED?
