Is Pentax a good camera brand ?
Pentax has been around for years and is still known for its common sense no rip off approach. Their cameras have all the features you will need and then some, design points such as putting the antishake into the camera so every lens you fit is antishake (without the price premium), even if that lens is over 40 years old it will still work as designed. Often used controls such as exposure compensation (Ev) is not buried in the menu. The ability to process an existing Raw file to Jpeg in camera with full control of settings, useful if your away from home and need a quick print locally. Not only do you have aperture priority and shutter priority you also have ISO priority where you set the aperture and shutter speed you want and the camera sets the ISO, as far as I know no other manufacturer has thought of this one, as I said, a common sense approach. They have been making lenses longer than any of the other Japanese manufacturers, and still make more lenses than anyone else for all sorts
