Answer First – I am very sorry for the delay. We had a wind storm here in Tillamook, Oregon. I have been without power and internet service until this morning. Now on to the question – ergonomics is most liken to industrial engineering and in some schools is treated as a major or minor in that discipline. If you have had any involvement in IE and enjoyed it then you would find ergonomics interesting. Most opportunities currently in ergonomics are with large companies and the insurance industry although there are a few in compliance. Ergonomics is very detail orientated and heavy in math. Effect communication skills could be a definite plus. I would recommend that you start by contacting one or more schools you are interested in that offer ergonomics and reviewing in detail the course descriptions. Then contact an advisor for the institution and review what would be expected of you. Most likely they would also be in a position to advise of possible job opportunities. My background was a
